I have a problem with an 8702. (sn-[Personal Information Removed]). My printer worked fine until it automatically updated firmware. Since the corrupt update from HP, the printer displays "INCOMPATIBLE INK CARTRIDGES" and will not print....even though these are the same HP cartridges I used to print yesterday. The problem is clearly in HP's update that appears to be trying to force customers to purchase new cartridges unnecessarily. Is there any solution that doesn't involve me spending money?

I have a similar problem with an ENVY 4500.

Bought genuine color and black cartridges but the Black is apparently INCOMPATIBLE.

I have to print in black using the color cartridge. How is that going to last.
