HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I've got an HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One printer and have been on the Instant Ink plan for about two years.  I've got low usage of the printer (<10 pages/month, typically).  I received my last cartridge this spring and installed it a couple months later, but has been printing blank pages as though the ink is dry.  I can't locate a direct number to call HP and apparently the printer is out of warranty.

Questions:

Is there a way to contact HP to resolve the ink issue?  How can I cancel the Instant Ink contract?

Thanks,

Ellen

I have a problem with my printer rejecting genuine cartridges and have tried to find a way to contact HP but it seems that you can only contact a robot with pre-define answers that are nothing to do with your particular problem.

I suspect they have updated the printer firmware without asking me and this is causing the problem.

Hi @ElleSing,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a print quality issue with your HP OfficeJet 4650 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

To answer your question: Yes there is a way to contact HP Support and you may refer to this document to Manage your Instant Ink account.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
