HP ENVY 6430e All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I've just put in my very first Instant Ink cartridge (black and white) into my HP ENVY 6400 All-in-one Printer, and it is flashing orange. When I open HP Smart programme it shows the Black and white as empty, that is there is a broken red line around the Black and White 'estimated supply level' box.

I would seem that the new cartridge is not recognized by the printer.

In the past I've been using 67 XL but Instant Ink sent me a 67/305. Is this compatible?

Sorry Irwin6,
I tried all that with no success.
I unplugged the printer, checked for updates through HP Smart, and reset and cleaned the cartridge.
But when I clicked the link to Turn on Web Services there was only a blank screen.

I've just purchased an ink cartridge (Black) from a shop so that I can use my printer again.

But if you can fix the problem that would be good !!

I think I've been getting the message that 'my printer isn't connected to the Internet', if that helps.

Hello Irwin6,

Sorry, that didn't help much either although when I clicked on the link to 'make sure Web Services are on' I only got a blank tag. But I was able to turn on my Instant Ink account and my printer was showing 'ready to print' although of course neither of the ink cartridges are now Instant Ink ones as I've replaced the 'Black' one with one I since purchased.
