Any one else have to constantly chase for ink with the 'Instant Ink' set up, I'm constantly running out and having to contact on WhatsApp and you go around in circles with them for a few days trying to explain what the problem is. 

The only thing I have found is they are saying I need to leave my printer connected to the wifi 24/7 for it to work properly, but I am not prepared to do that, I leave it connected for the rest of the day after changing ink but it still takes around 2 weeks for it to register that I have changed a cartridge and require another one. Getting extremely frustrating.

Service of this kind is not easily comparable to the experiences of others.

 

What?

Feeling "the same" won't fix your situation.

 

If the service does not work for you the way you are prepared to use it, it might be worth considering that an Ink service that requires the printer be connected to that service is perhaps not your best option for using your printer.

 

True - the service is not "instant".

 

Reading the name of the service as a promise of how the service works is fair -- "instant" sounds like you get what you need instantly, on the mark, right now, when you want it.

 

What to do?

 

Consider how the service is working for you and your situation.

 

Decide whether to continue the subscription.

 

If you decide to cancel, do read the cancellation procedure so you understand how that works.

 

If you wish to do so, contact Instant Ink Support in your region - express your dissatisfaction with the connect policy - ask for options.

I had this issue with HP instant ink this week. HP representative was unconcerned and simply told me that he had expedited my late delivery. I asked for next day delivery and was offered 3 to 4 working days. This has rendered my HP printer to be no more than a paperweight. Not to mention the ruined print Job, wasted ink, time and paper. I can not afford for this to ever happen again.
