HP products have really went downhill, along with their customer service. I purchased a printer and it kept giving an error code when trying to set up with cartridges provided. I then tried one I had purchased (HP) and it wouldn’t let me complete set up because it wasn’t the cartridges included. I had to return the printer and get a new one because I couldn’t bypass it and that was easier and less time consuming than calling customer care. Next issue, it asks if you want to join Instank Ink…DO NOT DO IT, even the free trial. I cancelled shortly after it started and they still sent cartridges and charged me. Once I used the initial ones that came in the box, I switched to the brand new cartridge I bought, which had issues from the first page printed. The ink was basically already gone or couldn’t even print one page without it being illegible. I then used one of the cartridges they sent. With Instant Ink they also keep track of how many pages you print, even though they are not providing you paper. Essentially you get charged a monthly fee, then they ensure you get charged an overage fee for pages printed and then keep sending new cartridges before needed to ensure they can keep charging you.
