Product: HP ENVY 6458e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 26.0 Tahoe

I bought a printer secondhand. It came with full instant ink cartridges. Now I am getting a message saying "Cartridge or account. issue" 

I believe the previous owner unenrolled from instant ink. But do I seriously need to pay for an ink subscription to use ink that I already physically own?

HP Recommended

If the printer was unrolled from Instant Ink, those ink cartridges will no longer work and should be returned to HP, and the user can only use store-bought ink cartridges.
