Hi,

  I have 2 issues. I moved to India from UAE, and we brought our HP Deskjet 4515 printer along with us. I bought some refills and found out that HP region locks the cartridges. Upon doing some research, I found out that I need to contact HP support. I'm trying to add the printer to my profile of HP devices, but it keeps telling me to "Please enter a valid serial number." I have entered the correct serial number as per what's showing on the HP Smart App. Can somebody please assist me with both issues (adding this device to my profile as well as region change) so that I can use the new cartridges?

 Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

 

If the printer will be used in a different region from where it was originally bought and used, we need to perform some changes called a regional reset for your printer; only after that will you be able to use the printer with the current region's ink cartridges.

 

I will be glad to assist you with the regional reset on your printer. 

 

In order for me to perform the reset, I need few details which cannot  be shared in public.
