This case has been marked resolved, just go purchase new HP certified ink jet cartridges again which are $100's, however I am sitting on no less than 3 boxes of certified HP cartridges that HP decided to retire to satisfy a firmware upgrade for the new series of this printer.  They neglected to offer a fix, either by modifying the firmware by giving us a link, to revert back to the old firmware which worked great, or provide us a way to trade our "old gen" cartridges in for current ones. I went to Office Depot where I purchased the cartridges and they said contact HP support, but when I contact HP support, they want a full warranty service agreement subscription before they will give me the time of day. This firmware upgrade was not thought out to keep your current customer's experience an easy transition, and lacks any plan to help  those of us who invested $100's in the original model ink cartridges and stocked our shelves to assure we would always be able to print. I have 2 boxes of 952XL Black, the large size and 1 each, 952XL Magenta and Yellow. Seriously I am expected to each ~$300 of printer ink??? Shame HP.......
