Is there a market for "opened" 564XL cartridges? It won't fit my HP Photosmart 7520!

GOOD NEWS!!!  I discovered that the tray that holds the four ink cartridges has an additional, but larger tray.  The 564XL cartridge fits into that tray.  I did a test print and it was successful.  I am so happy I did not waste my money on a cartridge I could not use.  It is a shame that the documentation I found with the printer and online failed to inform me that that was the purpose of the larger tray.  I thought it was used for some special PHOTO cartridge.  Have a blessed life!

All 564XL ink cartridges should fit to THEIR normal slots. XL cartridges and normal cartridges are same sizes (physically), only the volumes of ink inside are differences.

 

Your printer has TWO black ink cartridges the narrower one called Photo ink (it has a camera symbol) and the wider is simply black (from my memory, it has a bow tie on it or a black dot on it).

The HP 564 Black and the HP 564 “XL” Black cartridges are definitely not the same size!  The XL is much larger and will not fit in any of the four “color” cartridge slots.  The XL will only fit in the larger XL SLOT.
