Hello everyone,
New user here! I do not know if I am posting to the right place. If I am not I apologize in advance.
So I am an owner of an Color Lasetjet Pro M477fdw and I am facing two weird issues.
The first issue has to do with print quality. For some reason, I get these horizontal light color lines on the back of the paper. This doesn't happen everytime but the issue is usual. Here you can see what I mean:
cyan color this time
I do not know if you guys can see that. In my screen, it is not very visible, due to it's bad color calibration 🙂
The second problem that I face is that very often I hear an unusual sound. I do not know how to describe it... It is more like a squeaking/"screaming" sound. It is like something that is turning touches some other part and makes this sound. More preferably I would say that something that activates during the beginning of a printing has run out of lubricant and makes this sound. I know my descriptions are not very good but I do not know another way to describe it.
If you know what is the solution of my printer problems or if you suspect something please do not hesitate to post it here, Every help is much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
EDIT: I didn't mention that on Windows I use the PCL6 driver to print documents. I do not know if that is helpful at all...

Here are some other photos from the cleaning pages:
Stripes -- all the colors
Light-Thick stripes cyan and magenta
Cyan residue on the top of the page
Color Stripes on the back
And here is what happenes when a color printing takes places. Please note this happens only in the second page. All the other pages are clean.
UPDATE: It seems that the problem with the weird noise has been resolved somehow... However the problem with the faded streaks still persists. If anyone knows the answer and wants to share I would be really grateful. Thanks.

I followed these videos and cleaned the transfer belt:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDQBXNZaEr0&t=238s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPszWRUuPq0 (it shows a more comprehensive way to remove the side panels)
Now the printer makes even less noise and I got no faded stripes on the back.
I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes. If everything goes as planned I will accept this post as my solution.
Thank you all!

Unfortunately, after many days of testing I haven't accomplished the desired result.
I am thinking it may be the fuser roller...
If anyone knows anything about this, it would mean a lot to reply me back.

So I just noticed something. If I print from Linux using HPLIP all the pages are printed out clean with no lines or streaks. However when I print from Windows 10 the second page, let's say of a pdf, has lines and streaks. I have the latest firmware installed and I have remove and reinstall all the drivers. Before the reinstallation I even remove the drivers from printmanagement.msc.
Still nothing though. I really can't comprehend what exactly is the problem.

I did the downgrade and the same thing happened.
Now the printer started doing something even more weird. I tried to print a cleaning page and although the screen prompt me to put a sheet of paper in the first tray after I pressed OK it didn't take the paper from the first tray and started the process by taking a sheet from tray 2 or 3. Not only that it started making a weird sound when it was doing the process. What on earth is going on? Is this because of the new firmware?
Could at least someone from HP reply here and help me? I have been trying for long now and I am not finding the source of the problem. I even took the printer to a partner of HP here in my area so he will have a look and he did nothing and charged me 45 euros and he told that everything is alright. I literally do not know what to do!
