Issues with printing on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8020. The colored print quality for photos does not print properly. It prints as if the cartridges are running low or out of ink. Cartridges are not showing a need to replace. Please help.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting print quality issues, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

Meanwhile:-

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon

    .
  2. Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

If that does not print fine, follow these steps to fix the issue:-

Clean the printhead

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
  3. Touch Clean Printhead, and then touch Continue.
    Examine the test page.

If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.
  4. If the print quality is acceptable, touch Done.
