can you help me to fix a a HP psc 2410 photosmart that prints some pages incomplete, the middle part, for example? Thanks!

I have tried a partial reset with # and 3, but all I get was an illusion that t starts to print, but nothing happens, except for a clepsydra. I have done a partial reset, but I was not able to print correctly

Interesting result...

For those reading:

water clock or clepsydra

OK -

The printer does not support any HP Driver for at least Windows 10 / Windows 11.

The printer does support installing the Windows built-in drivers to support basic print function.

Basic print function means that some content in a document might not be translated into anything the printer understands.  What?  The Windows drivers are limited and might not support all formats, for example.

What to do?

If you are printing off the web, try downloading and saving the content.

Generally, download / save will save the document in PDF format.

Try printing the saved file.

If the file saves OK and seems to print but is still missing some of the data,

Try printing the PDF file "as an image".

Note:

Print PDF as an image also works for a document you have created (for example, in Word).

Export the Word document to PDF

Print the PDF file "as an image".

PDF - Print as Image

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional Foxit Reader)

  • HINT: Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software
  • Adobe Reader DC software should be installed even if you do not open / view / print PDF files directly from the software.

If the file will not print due to unusual content (odd fonts, color schemes, Tables, other oddities), print the file as an Image. Image printing does not require the printer software to translate file content.

  • Export and Save the document to your computer in PDF format.
  • Open the offending document in Adobe Reader DC
  • Click Print icon > Set other options on the menu > Click Advanced button
  • Set the printer select the colors (Optional)
  • Select Print the PDF file as an image

What else?

Open the content you want to print.

Capture a "Snip" (a picture) of the content

Save the file as an image / photo file (.jpg)

Open the file in an app / software that can print images and print.

General Examples - Windows - Photos - Simple photo print

Note that you can select the paper size and type.

Edit your setup to match what you need to do.

Built-in Driver

Old driver is Gone

We see occasional questions about printers for which full driver software installation packages are no longer listed for current (or older) versions of Windows.

The software for this printer is no longer listed as available from HP.

When available for the printer and a supported version of Windows, install the Windows built-in print drivers.

When installed, the Windows print driver provides basic print function.

HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver

Scan? See Section FAQ > How do I use the printer functions with the built-in driver?

Scan your documents and photos:

Complete your scan jobs with a Windows app that works with the built-in driver.

Examples

Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.

Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.

Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows  Scan (in English) to install it.
