Hi @Jw293,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer prints in black and white instead of color on Mac OS 13.7, it could be due to a few reasons, such as incorrect print settings or driver issues. Here's how to resolve it.
Check Print Settings
- Open the document you want to print.
- Select File > Print.
- In the print dialog, click Show Details (if available).
- Look for the Color Options or Quality & Media settings.
- Ensure Grayscale or Black & White is not selected, and change it to Color.
Check Printer Preferences
- Open System Settings (formerly System Preferences) on your Mac.
- Click Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP ENVY 6055e printer and click Options & Supplies.
- Go to the Driver tab and confirm that the printer is using the correct HP driver, not a generic one.
- If needed, update the driver by reinstalling it from the HP website.
Reset the Print System
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and choose Reset Print System.
- This will remove all printers, so you’ll need to add the HP ENVY 6055e back afterward.
- Restart your Mac and printer, then try printing again.
Reinstall the HP Printer Driver
- Download and install the latest HP drivers for Mac from the HP support page to ensure you're using the correct version compatible with Mac OS 13.7.
After following these steps, your printer should print in color.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
