My LaserJet MFP m277 has a problem where magenta splatters appear in the top left hand of pages. The splatters cover about 6 inches horizontally and 4 inches vertically, but they vary. Sometimes I get a clear page, but most pages printed contain this splatter.
I have examined the toner cartridges, the memory chips, the drums, etc. and all appear OK. I have replaced the magenta cartridge without any success. I have updated drivers without improvement. This occurs whether I print from a Windows machine or a Mac. These are HP original cartridges.
I have seen this problem reported multiple times on various forums around the web. No one seems to have a satisfactory solution. All HP solutions seem to suggest a problem with the cartridge, but considering 1) I have replaced the cartridge, and 2) this does not occur down the entire page, this seems unlikely.
