Toner Chips?? - Bought an HP M283FDW All-in-One Printer and made the MISTAKE of discarding the dead Toner Cartridges, and ordered a set of 206X Toners to replace them not realizing that they did not include the "CHIPS" that allow them to work in my printer.
Genuine HP Toners are about $500 a set vs. $70 for remanufactured ones and I don't want to spend $500 if there is a way to obtain replacement chips I can install in my refurbished toners. The toners have instructions how to transfer the old chips (I don't have) into the refurbed toners, but don't say if I can BUY chips.
Are replacement chips available or do I have to spend the $500 for HP brand toners to get a set I can later swap into the refurbished ones?
I have 2 other HP Laser Printers (A 2600 and 3800) but the toners evidently don't have "chips."

Hi @bobinyelm,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your Printer .
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
