Product: HP LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251nw

I've had only HP printers for at least 10 years - currently 3 PC's and 3 printers ... but my love affair is about to end!  My two printers have been fine ... and i have been using other Laser Cartridges than HP for years (HP IS TOO COSTLY for my pocetbook)  As of recently ... i get this awful message on my PC about something non readable on the cartrdige ... I open ... shake the cartridge ... it works maybe for ONE print ... then happens again ... for a different cartridge ... HOW do i trun that thing off! so i can use the printer
