Hi,
I have an old LaserJet 1200 printer that I just installed a new toner cartridge (C7115X). The printer now prints almost completely smeared pages. You can make out some words underneath. I put the old toner cartridge back and the smearing is gone.
I rocked the cartridge back and forth as per instructions, and then broke the tab and pulled out the metallic strip. Any ideas why the new cartridge is smearing?
