Hello
My LaserJet CM6040 have some issues with the print quality and puts a lot of stripes on places where they don't belong. It is easiest to understand taking a look on the attached scan of a printed page.

In addition I can tell that the level of the cyan cartridge is very low. But for me the stripes look more magenta than cyan...

Any suggestions...?

Thank you!

Remove transfer belt, clean it with dry cloth. Inspect drum both for magenta and cyan.

Hi Valsimot

Thank's for the reply!

I will check the transfer belt as suggested. For cleaning you mentioned to use a dry cloth. What do you think about the idea to put some alcohol on the cloth for better cleaning?

Regarding the drums: Is there anything special to be attentive to while inspecting?

Use dry cloth for cleaning the belt, you can use alcohol but it will not change a lot, cleaning is a temporary fix, you will probably need to get a new belt if the cleaning is helpful. For the magenta and cyan drum check if there are stripes on each.

I cleaned the belt as suggested, and it seems to work (for now).
Thank you very much, I appreciate!
