LaserJet printer prints ombre effect for solid colors

I am having an ombre or faded effect no matter where I print from.  I print solid colors and the oat color always prints with a faint red hue along one side.  It seems that the hotter the setting (cardstock, etc) the more red the image becomes.  I also print full sheets of labels of all solid colors and the labels on one side of the page are always a different shade than the ones on the other.  All colors are affected and the color change is gradual from one side to the other.
