There is a smear running down the page about 1/4 width in from left edge. Please see example photo below, which shows the page printed after running the self-clean job. It's as if something is scraping the toner off before it gets to the the fuser. I have taken the fuser unit out and also checked all the rollers - no damage. I have checked all the drums in the toner cartridges and can't see anything stuck to them. Is it perhaps a blockage somewhere inside that I can't see? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Can you print something other than a cleaning page and post that please. Based on the picture it appears to be something other than the black cartridge.

Hi Repairatrooper,

Thanks for your response. Here are some color prints...

The left side of all the prints is faded, which I initially thought might be a problem with one of the toner cartridges, e.g. black, but they all seem to be faint, so maybe it could be a problem with the intermediate transfer belt..? I am a relative newbie to laser printing, so will defer to your expert opinion.

Thanks.
