I have a 5 yr old Laserjet Pro MFP M281fdw printer. I've been having issues with the black ink for over a year. Several times, I have replaced brand-new cartridges (from HP.com, 202X). The firmware is updated to the latest version. I have followed every troubleshooting guideline, including shaking the cartridge. Before, I could unplug the printer for an hour or two, and it would print black again. Nothing is helping now. I can change the color to dark blue and print, but that looks very unprofessional, as I use this printer for my business. 

Additionally, it does not matter what application I am using; it prints the same from a Word doc, Adobe PDF, etc., including the HP Smart App. I know there are many of the same issues throughout this forum, but I haven't found any information that resolves this. I'm not sure if there is anything else that can be done, other than the junk pile. This is my last resort.
