Non-HP ink not working. Not the first problem I've had with a HP printer. The other involved internet connectivity.

Hi @Sim1234567

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like you're facing two separate issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740: non-HP ink cartridges not working and internet connectivity problems. Here's how you can address both:

_____________________________________________________________________________

Non-HP Ink Cartridge Issue:

I see that you have an issue using non-HP ink cartridges on your printer.

Please refer to the below links for more information related to your issue.

If you are using generic or non-HP ink cartridges and the above links do not help. You will have to contact the generic ink cartridge manufacturer to assist you further with it, or you will have to use genuine HP ink cartridges to resume printing.

Internet Connectivity Issue

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer. Wait for 60 seconds, then turn them back on in this order: router, printer, computer.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer, go to Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Check Network Compatibility:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as it may not support 5 GHz networks.

Assign a Static IP:

  • Access your router's settings and assign a static IP address to the printer to prevent connectivity drops.
