My HP Smart Tank 510 series has had poor printing quality: streaky, white lines and missing colors. I have re-filled all colour cartridges to full but when printing the diagnostic page, the magenta and yellow bars are missing. What should I do?

@JS014, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing poor print quality on your HP Smart Tank 510 series printer, specifically with missing magenta and yellow colors even after refilling the ink. Let's walk through the steps to resolve this:
Check Ink Levels and Ventilation
- Ensure that the ink tanks are filled correctly and the ink is flowing.
- Make sure the ink tank caps are properly closed and the air vents are not blocked.
Run Printhead Cleaning
- On the printer control panel:
- Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button (triangle inside a circle) for 3 seconds to start the cleaning process.
- Alternatively, from the HP Smart app:
- Open the app > Select your printer > Go to Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
Repeat the cleaning up to 2–3 times if necessary.
Print a Diagnostic Page
- After cleaning, print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page:
- From the HP Smart app: Printer Settings > Tools > Print Quality Report.
- Check if the magenta and yellow bars appear.
Manually Clean the Printhead (if needed)
If the issue persists, the printhead may be clogged.
Align the Printhead
- After cleaning, align the printhead:
- HP Smart app > Printer Settings > Tools > Align Printhead.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
