Hello,
I have 2 problems with my HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw printer. One is not major, but I'm sharing since they might be related.
Minor issue, the first time I replaced my toner a year ago, it still said the ink cartridge was low. That's been the case ever since.
Recently though, the printer is leaving black lines vertically across the pages. It happens in all cases, printing test pages, receiving fax. I've done the following to try and fix the problem:
- Replaced the toner with a new one (still says cartridge is low as it always has)
- I replaced the Imaging drum. I can see the imaging drum having the same vertical lines on it too, I assume that's not normal.
- Printed multiple cleaning pages
- Connected the Printer to a PC for the first time to download drivers and scan for updates. No updates found.
I can see a small bit of toner powder around where the toner attaches & paper gets fed into, maybe something should be cleaned, but I have no idea how to get into the deeper compartments, or what should be cleaned as regular maintenance.
Your help is appreciated.
