Only HP ink and cartridges. Have replace the black with new cartridge. Still HORRIBLE. Have watched the board with no answers. Have used HP printers for years. Disappointed with support and quality. I'm out.

I tried all the suggestions. Was disappointed with this device from the beginning but always put off trying to troubleshoot since I had a working Samsung printer and I was more concerned with scanning. Finally got some time to try and troubleshoot. Went as far as buying GENUINE HP Black cartridge to replace the original GENUINE HP black cartridge without success. Printer is out of warranty and I should have pursued when it still was, because printing with a reasonable darkness level did not work out of the box.
HP LaserJets used to be the best printer out there.
Not any longer.
