Prints are filthy and have discoloration down the IMG_4459.JPGleft side of the page.

There are a couple of possible issues.

 

- poor cartridges will result in a single distinct color defects. so the yellow on the left side is most likely caused by a failing yellow cartridge. Remove the cartridge and examine the green drum on the bottom and you will likely see a corresponding build up of toner. Sometimes a bit of paper is jammed and can be removed, other times the cartridge will need to be replaced. Same for the other splotches on the page, if they are a distinct color, examine that drum

- If the possible cause is a bad secondary transfer roller, the spongy roller mounted in the back door or a failing transfer belt. For the transfer roller, just examine it to see if there is built up toner. You can wipe the roller with a clean lint free cloth, do not touch the surface as skin oils can create new print defects. 

-On this model, if you start to see crescent or half moon defects it means the fuser is failing.
