Hi @Topherman,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A "Supply Memory Error" on an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdn usually indicates an issue with the toner cartridge or the connections between the printer and the cartridge. Since you've already replaced the cartridge and encountered the same problem, there are a few additional steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Verify Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the toner cartridge is securely installed in the correct slot.
  • Double-check that you have removed any protective tapes or seals from the cartridge.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove the toner cartridge.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer with a lint-free cloth. Make sure to be gentle and avoid touching the drum.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Inspect for Damage:

  • Check the toner cartridge for any physical damage, and also inspect the inside of the printer for any foreign objects or damage.

Try Another Cartridge:

  • If possible, try another known-good toner cartridge in the printer to see if the issue persists. This will help identify whether the problem is with the cartridge or the printer.

Remember to consult your printer's user manual for specific instructions and guidelines.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
