I was told that the imaging drum or cartridge is a consumable. Is that true? AND what is the part number of that item for a Neverstop MFP1202?

Yes, the imaging drum or cartridge for the HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202 is a consumable part. This means that it is designed to be replaced after a certain period of use, akin to other consumables like toner or ink cartridges. The imaging drum is essential for transferring the toner to the paper to create an image or text.
I hope this helps.

Although I was informed that the imaging drum is a consumable by an HP employee in this group no part number was given in the answer. Since my original post, I was able to confirm the imaging drum part number is HP144A (W1144A) and it is on a printed label on the drum cartridge. I was rather disappointed to learn that this part is a consumable since I had a warranty issue. From further reading on the internet I learned this part should yield somewhere between 2 and 10 thousand pages. I got nowhere near that. In addition to the toner in the machine when purchased I have only added one toner cartridge. At any rate I've learned a lot and that just goes to DISPROVE that old adage "You can't teach an old dog new tricks"! Then again maybe 82 isn't that old.
