Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) freezes when I try to print to my HP printer.  Problem just started.  Other programs will print to the HP, Office will print to other printers, so it's something that developed between Office and HP.

I've tried 'repairing' the Office installation.  Didn't help.

I'm working around by printing from Word/Excel to Adobe then from Adobe to my HP printer, but I need to get this working properly.

Any advice????  HELP!!

Been there, done that.  Even set up a duplicate printer with the driver for my specific printer after downloading it from the HP site.

I finally found an HP "Universal" driver from windows (rather than HP) that worked when using Microsoft Office products.  I used the same port as I have for my HP driver for the P2050, but, now, I can use the 'universal' with Office and the specific HP driver for my printer with everything else.

Note:  I'm afraid to delete the specific driver for my printer and risk the universal screwing up all of my other programs, so I'll just keep both on.

Install the current drivers for the printer. Make sure office has all updates installed.
