Hi @mjjjjjjjjj02111,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 419 printer is displaying an E2 error and printing two lines of the same thing, here are some steps to troubleshoot both issues:
For the E2 Error:
Check Paper Size Settings:
- Ensure that the paper size selected in the printer settings matches the actual paper loaded in the tray.
- If you changed the paper size, make sure to adjust the paper guides in the tray accordingly.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Look for any small pieces of paper or foreign objects in the paper path that could be causing the error.
Perform a Print Head Cleaning:
- Use the printer's software to run a cleaning cycle, even if you've done this before. Sometimes multiple cycles are needed.
For Printing Two Lines:
Check Document Formatting:
- Make sure there are no duplicate lines or formatting issues in the document you're trying to print.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
Reset Print Settings:
- Go to the printer settings on your computer and reset any custom settings to default.
Try a Different Application:
- Print from a different application to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, the problem can be specific to the software you're using.
Perform a Factory Reset:
- Check the printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. This can resolve persistent software issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
