I have been attempting to set up my new HP Envy 6055e printer today. Despite repeated cleaning and alignment attempts, using the HP Smart software, the colour cartridge will not print magenta, and the text in the print quality diagnostic and alignment pages does not fully print. There are horizontal gaps through some of the text and/or lines of text missing altogether. I have tried removing the colour cartridge and printing with only the black cartridge installed - same result. I have supplied the serial number of my printer to HP, and am informed that the warranty period expired December 30, 2023 - how this could be, I do not know, as the printer was a Christmas gift. My efforts have resulted in much wasted ink and a great deal of frustration, and I would appreciate some assistance in plain English. (No technical jargon please.) Thank you.
