During a recent move, the movers packed and put my printer upside down. A major ink leak occurred. Now, if I print, I get fine lines all over the page. The ink cartridges show now leakage, so don't know how a leak could have happened. Just need to know if this is fixable, or if it is too badly damaged. Don't want to go through lengthy virtual instructions if, as I suspect, it is not fixable. Many thanks, Tina7688

It's an older printer, perhaps mistreated (by careless movers).
There are places where small amounts of unused ink might accumulate in the printer - from you description, it sounds like having the printer upside down allowed ink (not safely inside the cartridges) to disperse around the inside of the printer. Not my area of expertise. Suffice to say, the printer should not have been carried about upside down - Unfortunate.
You can open it and try to clean the printer - if you can get it clean, it might start working correctly again.
Might just be dirty rollers, in fact.
You have to decide how much work and time you are willing to invest.
What if? Part of the "try and fix" process might be to replace the ink cartridges - if they did leak (regardless of how they appear), then the cartridges might need replacing. Replacing the cartridges adds to the expense -- and doing so might help and might not make any difference at all.
