Hi @Zoey0224, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since you've already replaced the cartridges, cleaned the contacts, and performed a power reset, try the following additional troubleshooting steps:
1. Check for Firmware Updates
- If possible, update the printer’s firmware via the HP website.
Hard Reset the Printer
- Turn the printer ON and disconnect the power cord while it's still powered on.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait 2-3 minutes to allow the internal memory to reset.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer ON.
- Check if the error persists.
Inspect Cartridge and Contact Pins
- Cartridges: Ensure you’re using genuine HP ink cartridges (non-HP or refilled cartridges can trigger this error).
- Contact Pins: Inside the printer, where the cartridges connect, check for bent or broken gold-colored contact pins. If bent, carefully realign them with a small tool.
- Ink Levels: Even new cartridges can be defective. If possible, try a different set of cartridges.
Bypass the Error with the Printer’s Menu
- Enter Support Mode:
- Turn OFF the printer.
- Hold "Back" (↩) + "Home" + "Help" buttons together.
- While holding the buttons, turn the printer ON.
- Continue holding for about 10 seconds until the support menu appears.
- Select Reset Menu > Choose Partial Reset.
- If the issue persists, repeat and select Semi-Full Reset (this will reset network settings as well).
- If the error remains even after replacing cartridges, the printhead might be defective.
- Try removing the printhead and gently cleaning it with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- If cleaning doesn't help, you might need a replacement printhead.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
