Hi @Player89,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to deal with a misalignment issue on your HP CP1215 printer. Here are a few steps you can follow to try and resolve the problem:

Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the paper settings on the printer match the actual size and type of paper you're using. Incorrect settings can often lead to misalignment.

Align the Print Cartridges: Use the printer's built-in tool to align the print cartridges. You can usually find this option in the printer's maintenance or tools menu. For the HP CP1215:

  • Go to the Control Panel on your computer.
  • Open 'Devices and Printers' or 'Printers and Faxes'.
  • Right-click on the HP CP1215 and select 'Printing Preferences'.
  • Navigate to the 'Services' tab and click on 'Align the Print Cartridges'.

Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer driver and firmware are up to date. Visit the HP website, find the support section for your printer model, and download any available updates.

Clean the Print Heads: Sometimes, ink buildup on the print heads can cause print quality issues, including misalignment:

  • Again, go to the 'Printing Preferences' menu as described above.
  • Find the option for cleaning the print heads under the 'Services' tab or a similar maintenance section.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall and then reinstall the printer drivers. This can help reset any erroneous settings or software glitches causing the issue.

Check the Printer for Any Mechanical Issues: Look inside the printer for any torn paper, debris, or anything else that might be causing the print heads to misalign. Ensure that the internal components like the toner cartridges and paper trays are properly seated.

Print a Test Page: After completing the above steps, print a test page to see if the alignment issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
