Model 9025e ink cartridge access door stuck

Model 9025e ink cartridge access door appears to have a latch or some sort of catch on the left side corner.    I have just set the printer up and don''t want to force it open if there is a safety latch present.

I need to open it to clear a paper jam.

Looking in other posts I found that lifting both the cartridge tray and the scanner tray at the same time solved the problem
