Hello,
After moving to UK, I replaced cartridges compatible with printer. Earlier it was HP 683, but now HP 653. Installing 653 gives "Incompatible Cartridge" Error. Spoke 3 times with HP customer support and twice they did "Region Reset". Still I see same error. Today representative said "Region reset works 95% times, and may not work few times. Go for new printer in UK or get ink from India".
I mean is this true? Region reset is not 100%? Then we are bounded by GEO wrt HP Printers?
Any quick help is appreciated !!
Thanks
Malty

@MaltyK
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Keep me posted.
If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Hi
Already Region Reset was done 3 times by HP Tech support and it didnt work, still Printer displayed "Incompatible cartridge", putting back original cartridge, it doesn't show Error, as per me "Regioning didnt work".
Now HP Tech support says, Regioning reset works sometimes only and this case it didnt work, purchase new printer in UK.
Do you agree or if you have any better solution let me know !!
Cheers
