Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased a new set of HP ink cartridges.  After installing them, the printer said the Cyan cartridge was either empty or defective.  I purchased a new Cyan cartridge and installed it and the printer gives the same error!

Can you try these steps, it will help you to solve this issue

 

  • Remove Tape: Ensure all protective tape is removed from the cartridge.
  • Clean Contacts: Gently clean the gold contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.
  • Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, then restart and reinstall the cartridge.
  • Update Firmware: Check if your printer’s firmware is up to date.
  • Reinstall Carefully: Remove and reseat the Cyan cartridge.
  • Try Another Cartridge: Test with a different new Cyan cartridge.

Still facing this problem then it is better to connect with HP Support team they will help you definetly.........

Thank you for responding.  I did everything and still the same...missing or damaged cartridge message.
