The "reports" page prints in color, the letter I'm trying to print has color in it but I just get black and white. The color cartridges are reported as at least half full.

Hi @GLR22349,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP CP2025 printer is not printing in color despite having color cartridges that are reported as at least half full, there are several potential solutions you can try.
Check Printer Settings:
- Make sure that the print settings in the software you are using (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat) are set to print in color. Often, there's an option in the print settings that allows you to choose between color and black-and-white printing.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page directly from the printer to check if it can produce color. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to print a test page.
Driver Update:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Go to the HP website, locate the drivers section, and download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
Clean Print Heads:
- Use the printer's utility software to clean the print heads. This function is often available in the printer settings or maintenance section. Follow the instructions in your printer manual for cleaning the print heads.
Check Color Settings:
- Confirm that the color settings on the printer are configured correctly. Access the printer settings through the control panel or the printer management software on your computer.
Inspect Color Cartridges:
- Remove and inspect the color cartridges. Ensure that they are properly seated and that the protective tape or cover has been removed. If there's any tape covering the nozzles, remove it.
Reset Printer:
- Try resetting the printer. Turn it off, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and check if it now prints in color.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve certain issues. Refer to the printer manual or HP's website for instructions on updating the firmware.
If none of the above solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
