I have changed the two cartridges of my printer, they are both new and original HP but it doesn't work, the black slot doesn't even take the ink from the cartridge. The color ones seems to be working but I don't understand the problem, does anybody know the solution for this?

@Agah

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that the black ink cartridge is not working, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

Meanwhile:-

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page using the HP software, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load clean, white U.S. Letter or A4 paper in the input tray, if necessary.

  2. Touch and hold the Power button (), and then press the Cancel button ().

  3. Let go of the Cancel button and then the Power button. The test page prints.

If that does not print fine, Clean the ink cartridges

The ink cartridges could be clogged, and you might need to clean them several times to restore print quality. Use the automated tool to clean the ink cartridges.

  1. Search the Mac for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

    HP Utility opens.

  2. Click Clean Printheads, and then click Clean.

The printer cleans the ink cartridges.

  3. Try to print again.

  4. Examine the page.

    • If the print quality is acceptable, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, follow the on-screen instructions to run a Second-level clean.

Let me know how it goes.
