Hi @GOBRANDON,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY 5055 isn’t printing the alignment page correctly after installing new ink cartridges, here are a few steps you can try:
Check the Cartridges:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and are seated properly.
- Remove the cartridges and check for any protective tape or packaging that might still be on them.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges and clean the metal contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Be careful not to touch the nozzles or any electrical components.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that could affect the printing process.
Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on the HP website.
Align Cartridges Manually:
- If the alignment page still doesn’t print correctly, you might be able to perform a manual alignment through the printer’s settings. You can access this through the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- Try resetting your printer to its factory settings. This can sometimes resolve issues with alignment and printing. Check your printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to check if the issue is with the alignment or if there’s a more general printing problem.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
