My HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All‑in‑One Printer was doing just fine, as a matter of fact I was completely happy with it. But just recentlyl I had to install the new ink and now my black isn't working properly. It will either miss spots, or smudge. I used the printers option to clean the heads, (several times) and yet the black is still splotchy. And too, every time it misprints I'm charged for the printing. Each time I run it through the cleaner, I'm charged for the printing. Please help solve this problem!

Hi @Prs31woman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e. Here are some steps to help resolve the black ink problem.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Ensure the black ink cartridge is properly installed and that it is not damaged or dried out. Sometimes, new cartridges can be faulty.
Printhead Cleaning:
- You've mentioned running the printhead cleaning process several times. Ensure you’re using the “Deep Cleaning” option, if available, as it can be more effective.
Alignment:
- Go to your printer’s settings and perform a printhead alignment. Misalignment can cause printing issues.
Paper Type:
- Make sure you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Sometimes, using the wrong paper can affect print quality.
Software Update:
- Ensure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs related to print quality.
Check for Ink Smudging:
- If smudging is occurring, it could be due to the ink not drying properly. Check the type of paper and ensure it’s compatible with your printer.
Inspect Printhead:
- Carefully inspect the printhead for any visible clogs or residue. You can gently wipe it with a lint-free cloth and distilled water if needed.
Test with Different Cartridge:
- If you have another black ink cartridge, try replacing it to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the cartridge itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
