HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

I installed instant ink cartridges,  have printed a diagnostic report, have performed alignment, cleaning, resetting the settings, did a factory reset, and updated all firmware. So tell me why when I try to print this basic blue gingham pattern, on both printer paper and photo paper it comes out so bad!? Below is the light blue gingham pattern that i have sent to my printer multiple times. BELOW that I have scanned and included the print that actually comes out. Yuck!

this is the original photo that i send to my printerthis is the original photo that i send to my printerthis is the ugly dark blue version that comes out!this is the ugly dark blue version that comes out!

Hi @lilliamariekolo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your printer not reproducing the light blue gingham pattern accurately. Here are a few steps you can try to address the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

Check Color Settings: Ensure that the color settings in your print driver are set to match the output you expect. You might need to check if the application you are using to print the image has its own color management settings that could override the printer settings.

Print Quality Settings: Make sure you are using the correct print quality settings for the type of media you are using. For instance, select 'Best' or 'Photo' quality if you're using photo paper, as this can improve color accuracy.

Media Type Settings: Validate if the type of paper selected in the printer settings matches the paper you're using. Different paper types absorb ink differently, and a mismatch can result in poor print quality.

Paper Type: Some types of paper perform better for specific colors due to their texture and coating, such as photo paper for high-quality color prints. Ensure the paper you use is compatible with your printer and suitable for printing images.

Clean the Printheads: If you've already done this, try performing a deep cleaning if available. This process can sometimes resolve issues with ink flow that affect print quality.

Color Calibration: Calibrate your printer's color output if your printer model includes color adjustment options. This can help ensure colors are accurate and consistent.

Test Different File Formats: Sometimes, trying to print the image from a different file format can help, especially if there's an issue with how the current format's color data is being interpreted.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
