Laserjet Enterprise M553

Hi, I am having problems with printing flat colour on my brand new Laserjet Enterprise M553 printer. It is printing a repeat copy of the image within itself. See images attached with descriptions. The distance between the top of the printed artwork and the repeat is about 3cm.

I have updated the firmware, tried various paper settings, file types, tray 1 and 2 but still happens. It also happens in any colour. This is the second printer in 2 days, but still with the same issue.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

Need help here as well. Same thing...I just purchased the M553, brand new out of the box, hooked up the printer just yesterday and I am experiencing ghost images as well as faded vertical print with solid colors in areas. My old printer (same M553) started to do this a couple of weeks back. I thought printer was starting to go so I purchased same exact printer and out of the box, it's doing same EXACT thing! Need a solution.

There are many factors that can cause this. Inadequate power supply caused by using any type of surge protector, multitap or UPS instead of plugging into the wall. Media issues such as humid paper. There are numerous settings that can be tweaked for improved performance, but the fact that you have two units doing the same thing suggests a problem with your environment.
