HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer

My OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer series is leaking black ink. I use the HP ink from the ink subscription.

What can I do?

Hi @Icardap,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 3830 printer is leaking black ink, here are some steps you can take to address the issue.

  • Inspect the Cartridge: Open the printer and carefully remove the black ink cartridge. Check for any visible leaks or smudges on the cartridge itself.
  • Clean the Cartridge Area: Wipe the cartridge area inside the printer with a lint-free cloth to remove any excess ink that might be causing the leak.
  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the black ink cartridge is installed correctly and securely. Sometimes improper installation can cause leaks.
  • Replace the Cartridge: If you find that the cartridge itself is leaking, consider replacing it with a new one. Make sure to use genuine HP ink cartridges.
  • Run Printer Maintenance: Use the printer's maintenance features to clean the print head and align cartridges. This can sometimes resolve issues related to ink leakage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I tried that, no luck. I use instant-ink subscritpion. The more I print, the more it leaks.
