Hi @Sin11

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering a "Printer Failure" error, which is often related to issues with the ink system or internal printer hardware. Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:

1. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off your printer.
  • Unplug the Printer: Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for at least 60 seconds to allow any residual power to drain.
  • Plug the Printer Back In: After waiting, plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the error persists after restarting.

2. Check the Ink Cartridges

  • Open the Printer: Open the ink cartridge access door and check the cartridges.
  • Ensure Cartridges are Installed Properly: Make sure all ink cartridges are properly seated in their slots. Remove and reinsert them if needed to ensure they are securely placed.
  • Check for Ink Cartridge Issues:
    • Look for any visible damage or ink leaks on the cartridges.
    • If any cartridges are empty or have a "low ink" warning, replace them with new ones.

Tip: If the cartridges are clogged, you may want to clean the copper contacts of the ink cartridges and the printer (use a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol, if necessary).

3. Check for Ink System Problems

Sometimes, the error is related to the ink system or the printer’s printhead.

Inspect the Printhead: If your printer has a separate printhead (some HP models do), remove it and clean the contacts with a soft cloth. Be careful not to touch the nozzle area to avoid damage.

Perform Printhead Cleaning:

  • If your printer’s display or control panel allows, run a printhead cleaning cycle (found under Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead).

Note: Some HP models have integrated printheads, and the error might be caused by a malfunctioning printhead that cannot be replaced separately.

4. Reset the Printer's Ink System

  • Some printers have an ink system reset option available in the settings. This can help resolve issues with the ink system.
  • To reset the ink system on many HP printers:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Unplug the printer from the power source.
    3. Wait for 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
    4. Turn the printer on

I hope this helps.
