My printer won't print magenta. I had a genuine color ink cartridge in there about 75% full, but I thought maybe just the one color ran out. So I replaced the color ink with another genuine ink cartridge and it still won't print magenta. When I first replaced the cartridge it printed a tiny bit of magenta before now stopping completely. The troubleshooting guide said that a missing color is either an ink cartridge or printhead problem. So this seems to be a printhead problem since it doesn't seem to be the cartridge. I tried cleaning the printhead multiple times with the built in tool to no avail. I'll attach all the reports here. But basically the reports look normal other than the magenta is completely missing.

The HP 61XL cartridges have the printhead built into the cartridge, replacing the print cartridge also replaces the printhead as well. It is possible for "old" cartridges to have a missing color, especially if they were stored lying on their sides. You can verify the cartridge is at fault as follows: remove the cartridge and gently blot the printhead on a damp tissue. A good cartridge would show a strong blot of cyan, magenta and yellow. Likely your cartridge(s) will only show cyan and yellow, confirming the cartridge is at issue. It may be possible to recover the cartridge(s). Get paper cup large enough to hold the cartridge in its normal in-printer orientation. Put an inch of hot (but not boiling) water in the cup, then place the cartridge with the nozzles down into the water. Let the cartridge sit for fifteen minutes, then remove the cartridge and gently blot dry the electrical contacts with a lint-free wipe. Put the cartridge back in the printer and run up to three cleaning cycles.
If the above does not resolve the issue, genuine HP cartridges do have a warranty, see the document here for information. If the cartridge is in warranty you can get a replacement. To get warranty coverage you will need to go to the Contact HP page, then enter the information for your printer. At this point it will likely say "Manufacturer's warranty has expired" To the right of this it will say "See details". Click the "See details" link, which will open another page with more details. Near the bottom of the text will be a paragraph that says :
HP has checked your product information, including the product and serial numbers, to determine your warranty results. The legal warranty expiration date is based on the date of purchase, as indicated on your receipt. If you feel these results are incorrect, you may submit a dispute for review. Dispute this >
Click on the "Dispute this" link which will ask for some additional contact information. Fill out the contact information, then in the bottom section select:
