My brand new Smartank printer is printing color pages with stripes.  I’ve tried all suggestions. Could it be settings on my MacBook Pro , OS  Sonoma 14.6.1?

1. Run the Print Quality Diagnostic:

  • Use the HP Smart app to run a print quality diagnostic or print a test page. This can help identify any specific issues with the ink.

2. Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure the ink tanks are filled properly and that you’re using genuine HP ink. Sometimes, low ink levels can cause print quality issues.

3. Clean the Print Heads:

  • In the HP Smart app, go to Printer Maintenance and select Clean Printheads. This can help clear any clogs that may be causing the stripes.

4. Print Settings:

  • Ensure that your print settings are correct. When printing, check the following:
    • Select the appropriate paper type (e.g., plain paper, photo paper) in the print dialog.
    • Set the print quality to Best or High Quality.

5. Update Drivers and Software:
