My nearly full HP 62 Black Ink Cartridge in my HP Envy 7645 prints blank pages. The Color Ink Cartridge works fine, and I completed all troubleshooting activities. Is there a solution? I have gone through all similar questions and have not found a response that rectifies my situation. To be clear, and to not waste time, I AM using HP Ink Cartridges.

Hi @David_Fre,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 62 Black Ink Cartridge is printing blank pages in your HP Envy 7645 printer, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check the ink levels: Make sure that the ink cartridge has sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer or directly on the printer's control panel.
- Clean the printhead: Ink residue or clogs on the printhead can sometimes cause printing problems. To clean the printhead, access the printer's settings or maintenance menu and look for an option to clean the printhead. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
- Align the printhead: Misalignment of the printhead can result in poor print quality or blank pages. Check your printer's settings or maintenance menu for an option to align the printhead. Follow the instructions provided to perform the alignment process.
- Replace the ink cartridge: If you have tried the above steps and the issue persists, it's possible that the ink cartridge itself is faulty or empty. Try replacing the HP 62 Black Ink Cartridge with a new one and see if it resolves the problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden.
Thank you for responding.
In the subject line, I described the Ink Cartridge as "My nearly full HP 62 Black Ink Cartridge . . ." I had hoped that would make it clear that I did check the ink levels of both my color and black cartridges.
This is frustrating because I was trying to avoid getting a standardized reply telling me to go through all the steps I had already completed. I made the effort to read all the other responses to problem(s) similar to the one I am experiencing. It sounds like I have 2 options: 1) Assume the ink dried up due to lack of use, buy a new 62 Cartridge and hope it works (Can the ink level shows as full even if the ink is dried up and unusable?), or 2) Buy a new printer.
Anyway, I researched the crap out of this prior to ever sending my request for support, so please give me a real answer. Is it possible or likely, that even if the ink has dried up, the printer will still show the level of unusable ink remaining in the cartridge? If so, I will purchase a new 62 cartridge and see if that fixes the problem.
Regards,
David
