Hi @acreasy,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201dw printer is printing clearly from your phone but producing blurry prints from your laptop, it could be due to several factors.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Print Quality Settings:

  • Open the print dialog on your laptop (usually by selecting Print from the File menu in the application you’re using).
  • Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
  • Look for the Quality or Print Quality settings and make sure it's set to Best or High Quality rather than Draft or Normal.

Update Printer Drivers: Software and Drivers for HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201dw Printer

  • Go to the HP website and ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. An outdated driver can affect print quality.
  • Download and install the latest version for your operating system.

Check Paper Type Settings:

  • In the Printer Properties or Preferences, ensure that the paper type matches what you're using (e.g., Plain, Glossy, etc.). Using the correct setting can improve print quality.

Adjust Scaling Settings:

  • Sometimes, scaling settings can cause blurriness. Ensure that the scaling option is set to 100% or Actual Size in the print settings.

Test Different Applications:

  • Try printing from different applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PDF reader) to see if the issue is application-specific.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause issues. Clear any pending jobs in the print queue and try printing again.

Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Check HP’s website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

Reboot Your Laptop and Printer:

  • Restart both devices to clear any temporary issues that might be affecting print quality.

Try a Different File:

  • Test printing different files to see if the issue persists with all documents or just specific ones.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let me know, and we can explore further troubleshooting options!
