Hi @Joakim12345,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your papers are printing yellow after moving your laser printer, it sounds like there might be toner spillage or a toner-related issue inside the printer. Here’s a step-by-step guide to cleaning up and troubleshooting your printer:
**1. Turn Off and Unplug the Printer
- Power Down:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety while cleaning.
**2. Remove and Inspect the Toner Cartridges
- Open the printer’s front or top cover to access the toner cartridges.
- Carefully remove all toner cartridges from the printer. Place them on a clean surface away from the printer.
- Check each cartridge for any toner leakage or damage. If a cartridge is leaking, you may need to replace it.
**3. Clean Inside the Printer
- Get Compressed Air: Use a can of compressed air to blow out any loose toner dust from inside the printer. Be gentle to avoid damaging sensitive components.
- Clean Areas: Focus on areas around the toner cartridges and any visible toner buildup.
- Use a Soft Cloth: Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with a small amount of water (not too wet) to wipe down any toner spills or residue inside the printer.
- Avoid Abrasive Materials: Do not use abrasive materials or cleaning solvents, as these can damage the printer.
- Check for Spills: Gently wipe the outside of the toner cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any excess toner.
- Do Not Open: Avoid opening the toner cartridges or touching the toner drum inside, as this can lead to contamination or damage.
**4. Reinstall and Test the Printer
- Carefully reinstall the toner cartridges into the printer, ensuring they are securely seated.
- Close the printer cover and plug the printer back in.
- Print a test page to see if the issue persists. If the pages are still yellow, you may need to further clean or replace components.
**5. Check for Additional Issues
- Verify your printer settings to ensure you are not printing with a yellow tint due to incorrect settings.
- Run any built-in printer maintenance routines available through the printer’s control panel or software to clean the printer heads or other components.
- If you continue to experience issues, check for any ongoing toner leaks or spills and address them accordingly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
